Everyone departed the cruise in Civitavecchia except us. We
had the ship to ourselves from 8.30 am till 1.30 pm. We did go ashore to look at the
fortifications and to get free wifi but we came back onboard to enjoy shipboard
comforts all to ourselves.
We swam in the pool and spa.
We had our own barman as we lay on our sun lounges reading. We went up for lunch at 1.00 pm and had the
entire restaurant to ourselves./ It was
like our time on the Queen Violetta on an even grander scale.
We sent a message to the captain to depart instantly before
anyone else had a chance to board but our rebellion was short lived. We escaped the brig or being keelhauled. It was quite an eerie five hours.
