Spending money in Monoco

Starting the day with breakfast on the back deck

A quick lap of the circuit

Looking for something different to do in Monaco, we decided to visit the Nouveau Musee National de Monaco.  We walked from the yacht up the hills of Monaco using the lifts to take us from one street to another.  Housed in the Villa Paloma, the gallery contained a series of special exhibitions that were most unusual.  The photos tell the story of American artist Duane Hanson’s work, which is one of three major exhibitions featured there.

Can you select the real person?

In addition to the art, the views were stunning from the gallery and the adjoining Museum of Archaeology.

The other section of the gallery is housed in Villa Sauber on the other side of Monaco.  The featured exhibition was Dietrich Fezzoli: Villa Marlene.  This is a fictional location decorated with pictures, posters, films and sculptures to highlight the actress and assert her status as a glamour icon.

Two very modern museums and not another soul there other than ourselves!

For contrast, we walked back to the Casino and found thousands of people, dozens of Ferraris, and plenty of action.  I am sure you can work out something about Monaco from this!

Far more impressive and much busier than the Cathedral

We found this abandoned outside the casino along with half a dozen others
