Sanary sur Mer

We are in a very quiet little port in France called Sanary sur Mer and it is Sunday. Most people are either sitting in the cafes or bars or at the beach and a few are at church. We checked them all out!
There is a wonderful traditional harbour with the small ships in great condition. They were so pleased to see us, as it is not on the regular cruise ship itinerary that they put on wine, nibbles and a brass band! What a welcome.

Gail at the harbour. Not a single pleasure cruiser in sight

This is today's catch. You eat what they catch that morning!

The small boats hold a special place in the town.

The church is the only tall building in town.

The beach was sand but also had lots of weed. We had a swim.

Not much scope for body surfing there!
I do like the little boats.

Not a very nice beach, says Harrison, but he quite likes the boats.
