Spring time in London so we decided to spend the day at the Kew Gardens. Our underground trip was terminated with train problems so continued on by bus.
The gardens are very extensive but we walked around and managed to cover most of the special places. Will simply share some of the photos with you!
Gail by the pond with the Palm house in the background.
In the pre digital era they would have had a Kodak stall on the corner!
There are plants from around the world. Many are in special pavilions to replicate the climate of the plant group. As a result some areas were steamy hot. The cacti were impressive.
There were beautiful flowers including this bromeliad tower
Not so many waterlilies were out in flower. There were also lots of tulips but not the masses that we saw in The Netherlands.
The exterior of Kew Palace where King George III resided during his period of madness. In side we saw rooms of the King, Queen and Princesses. The latter referred to the Palace as The Nunnery!
We also toured the Palace kitchen and the kitchen garden.
We saw magnificent magnolias, camellias and rhododendrons as well as many more. Slow wifi or we would inflict more photos on you!

Beautiful photos, we'll have to have a slide night!
We have about 143,985,677 slides. At 10 seconds per photo haw long will it take?
looks like a nice place for picnic
Those cacti look like lovely little foot rests, not sure how comfy they'd be to rest on though.
