Where’s Wally in Costa Rica

We had a day in Puntarenas in Costa Rica so decided to see some of the spectacular wildlife! We joined a group recommended for this purpose but it was like a game of Where’s Wally.
After a long drive we boarded an Ecotourist boat for a trip through the mangroves. On the way we did see a few birds including the spectacular Red Macaw. On the cruise there was little to be seen with an occasional sighting of waterbirds, crabs and crocs. Perhaps the twin 115 hp motors and the high speed legs just might have something to do with it! I have enlarged the wildlife to make this activity a little easier for you.

A Black Hawk in clear view

                                                    Where’s Wally the Red Macaw?

A Black Vulture waiting for us!

                                               Where’s Wally the Blue Heron?

                                              Where’s Wally the Mangrove Bat?

                                                  Where’s Wally the Giant Catfish?

                                                Where’s Wally the White Ibis?

                                                          Where’s Wally the Croc?
Our other planned sightings were on a restored leg of the coastal Railroad built to take coffee to the port. It was an interesting ride past the backs of houses with a few dogs, pigs and even more kids.
