Expedition to Antarctica

We have spent 2 fabulous weeks in Antarctica. We were not able to post our regular reports so are in a quandary how to catch up! Things are not made any easier at our Patagonian hotel. We have a great room but the internet signal is weak.I don't know if it will cope with photos and the only way to share our travels is pictorially. We sailed from Ushuaia for our crossing of the Drake. It had been very rough and the previous boat that sailed returned the day we were sailing with every window broken on one side.
The first section, The Beagle Channel was fine but the next two days were extreme. Waves, wind, snow etc. We didn't take the short route to the Antarctic peninsula but headed directly down to the Antarctic circle. We finally made it and started our wonderful adventure on Antarctica

Hello My Friends from Ocean Diamond!
So happy that my computer is now repaired and I took the time to read every printed word on your blog.
So, so, so good to "see" both of you after our wonderful sailing to Antarctica. Happy that you enjoyed the final destinations of the southern hemisphere and loved the photos of both of you and of course the food and wine!
Love to you both for being such GREAT travel companions!
Fondly, Julie Abston, Atlanta, GA
