It is a modern city with an emphasis on design and fashion. The public art illustrates this with some amazing displays.

Much more traditional was the Senate square.
We visited the Botanic Gardens. This is Rob displaying his love of trees.
We also visited several churches. One was the Church in the Rock. When we arrived we somehow ended up on the roof before finding our way down to go inside.

The locals are into the party scene and are good nightclub attendees. Gail is selecting her outfit. She shed her raincoat before the nightclub.

Did you know there is an indie Aus pop band (originally from Albury) called "Architecture in Helsinki"? They're not as groovy as Mum! :-)
