The views were still spectacular as we followed the Howe Inlet Fiord and then climbed through the mountains to Whistler. The views over the canyons and of the falls were highlights

It was very wet so we decided on lunch at the Fairmont Portabello. We soon forgot the weather but it cleared enough for us to walk through the Upper Village and later catch the shuttle down to the Lower Village and walk past the 200 shops and 90 restaurants
Whistler and Vancouver hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics. Do this pair look like medalists? What event?
It was too wet to go back down to the Lower Village at night so we dined in and enjoyed a few hours of Bluesy Jazz and tried not to think about the fact that the floatplane had been cancelled each of the past few days
We woke to bright sunshine and after breakfast were able to have a walk around without raincoats and parkas. Gail outside the hotel.
We were picked up and taken to Green Lake our new favourite airport

Beautiful pictures (except the rain, that's what it's like here at the moment except it is actually colder here than Vancouver). I would have worried about the float flight too - we stayed an extra week in Friedrichshafen and still didn't get that Zeppelin ride Matt is desperate for!
You both win a gold medal in the Globe Trotters category!
And it's GOLD in the food and wine consuming category!
Not sure why half my comments are not working - I am reading and making hilarious comments that appear to be only to myself.
Amanda xx
I too was going to suggest gold in the wine tasting event!
