The most memorable meal was on our last night. We booked and those who did not were turned away! The restaurant is La Taverna di San Giuseppe that has a speciality with wild boar and truffles. A great combination!
Gail at the restaurant. The only negative was that we could only get an early booking while locals were still drinking coffee and gelato.
My favourite dish was an appetiser of Quail egg in a frying pan on polenta with pork sausage and truffle. The mains were stunning. One for duck and one a special chicken dish.
Served very rare it was delicious!
One of the sides was a souffle of courgettes
The other main was a chicken dish but not as spectacular
Looked better than it tasted but it did look pretty special!
Gail thought the dessert was the best course but I was too engaged to take a photo!
Other meals have been great. It has been our plan to have a good lunch and a lighter dinner. This along with walking up to a thousand Km per day!!
Two great lunches meals were enjoyed away from the tourist trap zone.
Gail outside the Trattoria . Number 3 on our selection
Many of the restaurants have spectacular views. The food was as good as the view!
Some of the best meals were seen through a bottle! Especially those served on our own terrace
